Fundraising ideas Want to raise some money for a good cause but not sure how? We’ve come up with a handy list of ideas, but there are endless other ways to get involved if you're feeling creative. Fundraising for Swings & Smiles can be taken on by individuals, groups and corporates and we're always open to new ideas. To find out more get in touch with [email protected] Get fit Taking part in a fitness challenge is a great way to raise money. Running, walking and cycling races are always popular, but people have also held power lifting competitions at work and trekked the incredible Inca Trail in Peru to raise funds. Check out our current challenge events or get in touch if you have another idea. Give something up If you fancy giving up pints/chocolate/online shopping for a month then pop the ££s you’d have spent on treats in a pot and we’ll be happy to take them off your hands! You could also set up an online fundraising page and ask friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you. Donations instead of gifts If you're getting married and aren't asking for gifts, you could ask your guests to donate to Swings & Smiles instead. Simply set up an online fundraising page and send them the link along with your invitation. This could also be done for birthdays, Christmas or other events in lieu of pressies. Collection tins Do you know a friendly local shop/pub/café who would be happy to have one of our collection tins at the till? We'd love more places to display one of our tins to help spread the word about Swings & Smiles and bring in some extra pennies. Cake sales Who doesn't love a slice of cake? Cake sales always go down a storm at schools/offices/fetes and are a fantastic way for some of our younger supporters to get involved. You could even turn it into a Bake Off if you're feeling more competitive! Dress down days Dress down days/Christmas jumper days/fancy dress days are a great way for corporates to raise some money all while having a bit of fun at work. You could even combine this with a cake sale for double the fun and double the fundraising. Get started and create your own fundraising page!
